Description
10 Liter Jerry Can system includes spout and spout adapter. All of our Wavian Jerry Can systems come with an EPA, DOT, C. A. R. B. approved spout. We have also added an adapter since some gasoline powered vehicles need a smaller spout to fit in the filler. The adapter sits on the spout and needs to be turned clockwise until it snaps into place. The spout needs to be pushed to start the flow. The weight of the gasoline helps to open the spout to facilitate an easy quick pour. All Wavian products have a 2 year warranty against manufacturers defects. Fully paint-coated inside and outside. Have a full, internal breather pipe for splash-proof pouring. The highest quality Jerry can out there. Original Mil Spec. DOT, EPA and CARB approved. Comes with a safety spout attached and also has an adapter for vehicles with smaller filler receivers. Manufactured from 0. 9mm Cold Rolled Steel ( DC 04 EN 10130). Dual pan construction. Unique wide channel breather for better smoother pouring. Seam welded for extra strength. Three Handle Configuration. Leak-proof Bayonet Closure. Locking pin in cap. Strengthened hinge on cap to prevent accidental bending when closing. Cap designed to hold open when discharging the can. Lined inside with fuel resistant Rezol enamel to prevent rusting. Painted exterior epoxy polyester powder coat. Manufactured and tested to comply with the following standards: DOT, EPA , C. A. R. B. , DIN 7274 and BAM – GGR001. Australian Standard – AS 2906. German Standard-TUV/GS. Swedish Standard-SP. UN-Dangerous goods approval.

Initially arriving in a damaged shipping box, I was surprised find a dent in the rear corner of the fuel can. Surprised because the dent in the fuel can corresponded to NONE of the dents or holes in the shipping box. But I decided that a dent of that size wasn’t enough of an issue alone to return the whole item; I had read plenty of other reviews complaining of much larger dents.
Next, I moved my attention over to the included pouring spout, securely attached to the top of the fuel can with a broken zip tie. Since the zip tie was severed at the location of the ratcheting section of the zip tie, I thought perhaps the pouring spout broke loose during shipping when one of the other dents was created on the shipping box. Again, a minor inconvenience I can live with.
Finally, when testing the fitment of the included pouring spout, a major problem presented itself: The spout could not be securely attached to the opening of the can. The locking mechanism (Wavian refers to as a “bayonet clip”) could not be pushed into place. Both the Amazon product image and instructional video on Wavian’s YouTube channel show the bayonet clip expending through the holes on either side of the fuel can opening when the pouring spout is squarely secured to the can. However, despite my best efforts, I could not replicate the same results; the bayonet clip would only go it part ways before stopping. As I applied more force to the bayonet clip, I began to hear the metal deforming and creaking under my weight. I decided that was enough; this included pouring spout does not fit the fuel can.
Also, for whatever reason, there was an excessive amount of grease around the fuel cap gasket.

Bought this for traveling in RV to fill generators. I did not want to use plastic gas cans during transport with all the changes in altitude and temperature.

Sturdy, well made. No fumes escaping. Worth the price tag not to worry about safety.

Liked the can but the spout didn’t fit. I made the mistake to not return immediately and instead let them send me a replacement spout…that was embarrassingly bad. The replacement never even imagined fitting on a nato spec can. They gave me a credit that ALMOST covered the cost of a different brand spout. These are expensive cans, one would think they’d insure basics like fitment. I love the can and it’s sturdy but would NOT buy again. Not good enough for the hassle.

I was excited to get this because it looked cool, it would store easily in my shed, and seems like it would last a very long time. Unfortunately, the spout would not secure well no matter how hard I tried. I’m not entirely sure, but it seems to me that either the rubber gasket seal is too thick to allow the latch to slide all the way, or the latch-lock was welded too snuggly to slide all the way. It’s a really nice can, but it’s no good to me if the spout gets knocked loose while I’m pouring.

This can is a nice size for topping off the diesel and is easier to handle without spilling than the 20 liter can.

This gas can is the real deal Wavian. The seller is a family owned business and they deserve support for doing a great job. I haven’t put gas in the can yet so I will update my review once I do. Overall on first impression it’s a solid, nicely made metal can, and these are hard to find. My only complaint is the spout end is very wide and the extension piece to make it narrower is very cheap, flimsy and not useful as it falls off immediately. However this does not outweigh the fact that the can itself is rly nice. I may replace the spout with another type someday.

Got this for a gas can to take on a trip over the summer. Was hesitant about the claim that it doesn’t leak when sealed but before leaving I filled it and stood it on its nose and no leaks even after sitting like that for a couple hours. It’s built well with nice welded seams, make sure to get some spare gaskets for the fill cap as I lost one already.

I purchased this can to install it on the front of my 2021 Yamaha Grizzly. I was not sure what to expect when I ordered this tank, but I must admit, it was more than I expected. I expected thin plastic and bad fitment, but what I got was a heavy duty can that was made very well. I have read some complaints about thin plastic, but that was not the case in this can. It fit well on the mount, the caps all worked well, and I am looking forward to using it on my hunting trip in a few weeks.
UPDATE! I had to lower my rating from 5 Stars to 3 Stars. I went to fill my can up before my hunt and it would only hold 1.69 gallons before the water would spill out of the fill hole. The can was sitting flat on the ground while filling. I might have been able to get more in it if I would have tilted it back, but then the water would have spilled out when I reopened it. Kind of disappointed in this. Also, before I filled the can, I tipped it over, and poured out a lot of plastic pieces. All sizes from the size of a piece of sand to the size of a piece of rice. Glad I checked it before I filled it up. WARNING! Rinse or blow out your can before you fill it.

Easy to use, stores gas well. Only downside is nozzle is a bit thick. Fits my wife’s suv, my snow blower and my mower but does not fit my dodge charger.

Nothing against Justrite, but quality control should improve. I have purchased 2 gas and 3 diesel cans over the past 6 years. I really like them. My beef is as much against me as it is the product. I put some of the cans away for later use as needed. All have been perfect except for one of the gas cans. I had a leak that at first I thought might be from the spout from filling it too full. So the next fill up I made sure the volume was low enough to allow for expansion. But, it still leaked a lot. When I found the leak, to my surprise it was in the bottom rim weld. So, I can blame only myself for not using and finding the leak sooner. Like I said, I really like the product. Each have been birthday presents from my wife. I my other cans filled and in use with no leaks found. The only fix I know of is to have the seam re-welded, but that expense would not be justified. Hope this review will encourage some one else to check for leads before the 30 day return policy expires.
